1995 – 1999 Chevy Tahoe / Yukon 3/3 Complete Lowering Kit by DJM

Coil Spring Front / Hanger & Shackle Rear

This 3/3 kit will give you a little more drop in the rear if you want to “level” out the stance. That extra inch can make all the difference in the world. This kit uses 3″ coil springs in the front and a hanger & shackle kit in the rear. A couple of things here with the hanger & shackle kit, you may notice you’ll get 4″ of drop with most hanger & shackle kits but here we can only eek out three. You just run out of room to lower any more than 1″ with the hanger and 2″ with the shackle, bummer yes, absolute truth yes. 3" Coils lose some suspension travel but you save a bunch of dough!

CALMAX Front Shocks

CALMAX SuperShocks are the best choice for your project. Here you can choose the correct front shock to work with these DJM parts. The 3 inch coil spring front drop means you need a shorter shock. Calmax SuperShock part number 1315 is the perfect choice!

CALMAX Rear Shocks

The 3 inch Hanger and Shackle Kit is a great way to lower your Tahoe/Yukon. Using Calmax SuperShocks finishes your installation with the best shock you can buy. Use part number 2200!

Why are Complete Kits Important?

Johnny Cash wrote a song about collecting a bunch of good working parts that were not designed to work together and found it doesn’t always end well! Don’t believe me, click up there! (Turn up your speakers) You can build a radical engine by combining parts made by different manufactures but you really have […]

Coil Springs

Coil springs and torsion bars are the easiest way to lower a truck. Let’s face it, you can for almost no money, either heat or cut coil springs. Torsion bars are even easier. Its so tempting, too many people have either turned back their torsion bars, or cut their springs and tried to live with […]

Hangers and Shackles

Rear leaf spring shackles are commonly used to “Level” trucks. For those of you who just can’t stand the “stink bug” look of factory stances, the lowering shackle is for you! Typical drop is two inches and fairly simple to install. You simply remove the factory shackle and replace it with a longer drop shackle. […]
