Ram 1500 control arms, on the other hand, give you a deeper 3–4-inch drop without the loss of suspension travel or alignment headaches. If you're going more aggressive, control arms are the smarter move.

Depending on which Dodge Ram 1500 drop kit you go with, the rear is handled either with a hanger and shackle kit or an axle flip kit. The flip method, where the axle is moved from beneath the leaf springs to on top, is typically used for the bigger 5–6-inch rear drops. It gets you a cleaner, more aggressive stance out back.

The more complete kits include matched shocks, while the entry-level coil spring and hanger setups need suitable shocks separately.
